I am surprised you did not mention esnipe.com – they are one of the original web based applications. I have used this service many, many times.

Prospector is for serious ebay buyers, if you are buying a particular item to resell then prospector will save you hundreds of hours of search time, advanced seraching is better than ebays as well. I was disappointed that the free snipe service has been removed and the ace sniper pricing structure is expensive however if your really putting this to work it’s probably relatively cheap.

Since I switched to mac and prospector only runs in bootcamp, I’ve installed prospector on my girlfriends pc. Great tools if you are a serious buyer on ebay (business use) shame about the sniping costs however, I use auction stealer free service (3 snipe a month) and buy snipes if I’m after a high cost item (like my imac 24).

It’s a pity terrapeak does not integrate cause that would make a serious bargain hunters tools. Overrall I wish I had bought prospector when sniping was included in the full version. Brilliant software that will safe serious ebay buyers alot of time.

This software is so powerful that I wouldn’t tell my competitor about it, used correctly you can make a nice income range trading high value goods.

I am very unwilling to let a website store my login details. How safe is it ? I tried a basic sniper that is 100% free that requires a small install. Its not over complicated like most and doesn’t have hidden costs. You enter the auction number and this software simply presses the confirm bid button on the normal web page, its really good to watch.

It connects with a time server and corrects your PC clock for you which I find really handy

When the story was written, Prospector did include sniping. Since then the snipping part has been removed and is now a seperate program called Ace Sniper. They have also changed the 15 free snipes a month to only 5 snipes a year!

Prospector is now just a search tool and not worth the trouble of installing and Ace Sniper is not worth the hassle, as you can only do 5 snipes a year.

All I have to say is jbidwatcher. Google it you won’t be disappointed. Free and no limits and gets updated often. Only snipe tool to use.

I hate to tell you, but your Number 1 pick “Prospector”, isnt a sniping tool at all. Did you even do any of the things you said in your review? This program is nothing more than search tool, that charges you if you search more than 15 items! and if you want snipe ability, you have to download and install another third party app to use with prospector. If you actually did use this program you would know that. Now i gotta figure out how to remove “moxie proxy”, and prospectors attachment from my ebay account. great. thanks for the recommendation.
