How to Restore the Default AutoSearch Search Page

How come when I do a search then click on the link i am not take to the site that I click on. I get http://rds

You might want to try changing your default search location. It happens when you download spyware or those tool bars that can take over your system with pop ups and the like.

Go here and run through this tutorial it’s not as difficult as it seems: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179402…

If that doesn’t work, you may have a more terrible and hard to get at spyware/malware infecting your PC. I recommend you get an anti-spyware and if you don’t already have one get an anti-virus as well.

Anti-Spyware - Spybot Search and Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/…

Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware - AVG - http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

I use them both and they’re great.
