i got an old computer(xp). i dont manage to hear audio, when i go to panel sound i cant turn louder sound, neither change any other setting. what can i do?

ANSWER: I know this sounds ridiculous but you'd be surprised how the simplest solutions turn out to be the best. Make sure you have speakers plugged into your computer. Make sure the speakers are on and that the volume on the speakers is turned up. If that still doesn't work, you may need to get fancy. You'll have to open up your PC, look for the sound card. If there is no sound card, look for the sound chip, probably an "Audigy" or something like that. Then find the model # on the card/chip and look it up on the internet. Look for the driver or download radar sync: http://tinyurl.com/5ee3ex that will search for the drivers for you. Once you install the audio drivers you should be able to use your sound.
