Fix Your Desktop

When I try to update my computer all goes fine. It even says Update Complete. I restart my computer and it says I need to update. when I check the update it's the same one I just did. I've tried restarting and not restarting. What do I do

ANSWER: Go to Control Panel, double click Add/Remove programs and uninstall Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1. When its been removed, go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and click Custom Install. On the left click Select Optional Updates and choose Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1. Install it again, then after its installed, try and get the update for it again. Also disable your firewall whilst scanning for Windows Updates. I know of firewalls that prevent Windows Update working correctly. Original
