Fix Your Desktop

I have been having problems for about 6 months with my computer logging me off about every 5 minutes. I assumed that it was a problem with my modem. This morning I was trying to download the new AVG 8.0 and after about an hour or less it said that it could not dowload it any more because my computer had been reset. I had tried to down load it last night and then again this morning and it said the same thing. I know nothing about computers so I had no idea how to fix it. Does anyone know what this means and is there a way that I can fix it myself or should I just take it to Best Buy and have it completely checked out. It would be much better if someone knew what it was doing and could help me fix it. Thank you very much.

ANSWER: This sounds like a virus. Go to the store and buy an antivirus program. Run the program and disenect the computer.
