Why Does My Computer Crash When I Try To Install It?
Categories: Applications
Written By: admin
I got the Sims 3 yesterday and I was so excited. Unfortunately, when I tried to install it it wouldn’t auto-run. I tried to manually install it and then my computer instantly went to a blue screen and crashed. I have an XP laptop.
Can anyone help me figure out the problem? I don’t know if I meet minimum requirements, how do I find out?

To see your system configuration go to
START>RUN and type ‘dxdiag’ and press ok, there you can see your video, sound, directx & sound details.
To see ram, processing speed details, right click on my computer in start menu and select properties.

About your Sims 3 problem
you said you are getting a blue screen.
If on the blue screen there is a message saying “Dumping physical memory to disk” then I think that your hard disk is about to crash you better format your OS.
———————————-or–…
if the blue screen is gone and you are returned to your default screen when you press CTRL+ALT+DEL the it might be that the graphics of your system is not enough the game.

Check your “system” specifications.
MANY laptops do NOT have everything needed to run MANY high-speed, memory intensive games. (Usually, not enough memory!)
