also before the computer didn’t reconise it and my cosine fixed it and now i have this other problem. plz if you know the answer plz tell me.

I’m going with memory problem too. Give it 15 seconds to let the application clear the memory in your cache located in the hard drive. When ever you run out of memory in your ram, windows goes to the back up memory, your hard drive, to store application memory. Since the hard drive much slower than ram, you have to wait. Whip out the task manager and watch the memory allocated to sims 2 after you close it.
