IOGear GUC2015V External VGA Video Card
Categories: Computer Hardware
Written By: admin
The USB 2.0 External Video Card allows you to connect an extra monitor to your desktop PC or laptop’s USB port. The connected monitor can be configured to either clone your primary screen, or extend the Windows desktop allowing visibility of more applications at the same time. The USB 2.0 External Video Card driver used to control the extra screen uses very little computer resource and offers a vast array of screen resolutions and color depths. This ensures that there is little difference in performance between a directly connected screen and a screen connected through the USB 2.0 External Video Card.

Great Solution if Internal VGA is not an Option
Works pretty much as advertised.
I’m using it to run a third monitor because my work computer was maxed out at two, and it has no room for expansion internally.

IOGear support inadequate
I tried both the included CD and a newer download from IOGear. The installation software kept asking for a later version of graphics support for my Toshiba laptop.

IOGEAR USB 2.0 VGA Video Card
Excellent product. Graphics processing is excellent. Have not identified any clogging when I move my mouse, in comparison with other USB VGA adapters I have used.

Good Product – Even Vista_but..
Works great! I have used it with a Dell xps1330 Vista so I could have two external monitors mounted. And it works beautifully after downloading the Vista drivers.

my thoughts
this product takes up way too much cpu to use it effectively. If you have a quad core processor it might work ok but for a dual core or lower I would stay away.

works great – fast and seamless
It installed painlessly on a WinXP ThinkPad, and quite to my surprise, is very fast. I’m using it now w/ a web browser on Amazon, and I can’t really see much of a difference…
