I have a Netgear WG311wireless adapter on my desktop, but since it crashed I had to reformat the computer and the adapter isn’t installed anymore. I can’t find the installation disk, so is there another way to install it?

Yep, simply plug your desktop into a hardline (just to get you access to the internet) Go to: http://www.netgear.com/support. Find your adapter type, and download the driver appropriate for your operating system.
