My Friends Computer Crashed Wen Got Virus, Msn Wont Install Y Is That?

she wanted to put msn on after gettin major virus on pc, it wiped all pics and her kids school work, msn wont install says componant missing,she didnt have a Windows XP disc it was pre installed but thats gone too, her brother gave my mate a copy he had of xp but it a pirate copy, does that make any difference? whats wrong?

She probably has a firewall now and it is probably blocking it.

yeah sometimes pirate copys dont have all the right componants to make the software work.
It could also be that msn has a virus, and the computer dosnt let it install. Msn can sometimes cause problems to computers.
Try using a proper copy of the disk and see if that will work, if not then your friend will need to see somebody who specialises in fixing computers, because the virus may not have been fully wiped out.
This has happend to me before and then somebody fixed it and it worked perfect.
Tell your friend to limit what se downloads and what she stores on the computer. Because thats what causes computers to break down.
