How Do You Install A Firewall That’s More Protective Than Your?

exsiting one?
i believe i have a virus that was placed into my computer via an open IM line, the type of virus that mimics the programs, thus adapting to the hard drive and by passing the existing firewall! the computer has been cleaned up, and a scan performed daily, however i was reading about firewalls, tried to install one and it said it was unable because of faulty download………does this mean the virus is attacking my hard drive and i will soon crash?

You mean copies programs?
But where originaly it came from?
And if you know the name, it would be great to help..
So it’s not a virus, because you never mentiend downloading anything.. so if it’s not a virus, then it’s a keylogger or a Trojan.. or maybe something Aliens made. whatever it is you’ll find it in services, if you have Win Vista, press Ctrl + Alt + Del, click services, then if you see anything that is unusual, or something like a weird name, and it’s running, click at stop running. and b4 you do it, you have go and search for what it is, other wise maybe you’ll stop something important from your sys..
Hope that helped..

All you have to do to add a firewall is purchase one in a store and upload it onto your system but be aware that if you do not remove the existing one the result will be a conflict in your computer all but shuting it down to any communications. If you call the people who sold you your security system or computer they can scan you computer for you and check for a cookie or virus on your computer and tell you if there is any reason to worry. In the meanwhile delete all your cookies regularly, shut off all out side access to your computer other than security and if you feel this is not enough convert to Windows Vista Pro with encryptions settings to further protect you. But no the dowload may have been too slow is all that could be the problem there. Try again at a time when most people do not seem to be online in your area.

I usually use Robbitussin for my viral infections. Or pennicilin.
